Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Franchise Development (Applebee's) will work with analytic software and maintain its functionality and data. Along with manage the new store development approval process, proformas and documentation and the maintenance of projects on internal IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Market planning, site, and trade area analysis. Work with analytic software and maintain its functionality and data.
• Manage the new store development approval process, proformas and documentation and the maintenance of projects on internal IT systems.
• Monitor Development Agreements and updates into company system for accuracy. Track compliance to obligations.
• Maintain new restaurant opening pipeline including tracking and forecasting based upon development milestones using Excel and internal IT systems.
• Job costing and project analysis for new development and remodels.
• Asist with recruiting new franchisees and their onboarding.
• Working with Finance Dept. to assist with restaurant closure analysis and tracking.
• Conduct or assist with financial analyses to support development decisions and franchisee transactions.
• Assist with due diligence and consent process for proposed franchisee transactions and assignments (acquisition/divestitures, MBOs, LBOs, ownership transfers, etc.) that are submitted for consent.
• Assist with franchise agreements and renewals.
• Maintain remodel documentation and remodel schedules with franchisees and internal systems.
• Interacting with franchisees, legal, architectural and finance departments on development activities and franchise administration.
• Create and maintain playbook's / manuals / presentations for new development, and development related process and procedures and projects including new development prototypes.
  Skills And Requirements
  
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Real estate / development experience
  • Franchise experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • 3-5 years franchising / development experience.
  • Experience working in a multi-unit, franchise focused organization.
  • Solid grounding in restaurant industry a plus.
  • Process oriented, detail oriented, project oriented with good commercial and analytical skills.
  • Fun to work with and has an appreciation for food and restaurant business
