SummaryReporting directly to the Senior Director of Global Tax this leader will have responsibility for managing the tax accounting, the out-sourced tax compliance, tax operations, transfer pricing, and assisting with mergers and acquisitions. ResponsibilitiesDomestic Tax Compliance* Ensure that the U.S federal and U.S. state annual income tax returns are filed timely and accurately.--Currently requires management of outsourced service providers for preparation and filing.* Resolve audit and other issues with IRS and state tax authorities.Global Tax Provision* Responsible for the timely and accurate computation of the consolidated (domestic and foreign jurisdictions) tax provision and related financial statement disclosures in compliance with ASC 740.* Responsible for documentation and disclosures.Transfer Pricing* Responsible for preparation and review of various transfer pricing studies, documentation and intercompany agreements relating to the company's U.S. and certain international regionsTax Planning* Assist in developing and delivering quality tax planning to minimize the company's tax liability* Manage post-closing integration of acquisition related risks and opportunities.Management and Communication* Work effectively with tax senior in Glendale and manage external resources * Manage relationship with external tax audit team and outsourced compliance resources, including ability to discuss issues with technical expertise.* Enhance a service driven culture across all teams that are in line with company strategies and goals.* Lead by example and establish a track record as a reliable, "go to" performer.* Develop strong business partnerships and credibility with colleagues and the industry.* Proactively offer new ideas and build support for making significant change. Ask questions and listen to gain input and insight. Foster an open exchange of ideas.* Communicate clearly and concisely. Resolve differences/conflict in a constructive manner.* Plan ahead and anticipate, as well as look at downstream and cross-functional implications. Balance short and long-range considerations when solving problems.* Partner with direct reports and engage with other staff/peers to foster exceptional and productive internal and external relationships.Qualifications* 7+ plus years of total experience ideally starting in a Big 4 public accounting firm, and then working in a company with a dedicated tax department* CPA and /or MBT preferred* Multi-state and international Partnership and Corporation reporting preferred* Proven experience to analyze data, prepare reports and effectively communicate these to senior leadership* Able to work and thrive in a fast paced and demanding environment* Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills, with high attention to detail* Ability to focus under pressure* Must be proactive with a track record of taking initiative* Resourceful, action-orientated with the ability to get things done and overcome obstacles* Strong organizational and time management skillsLeadership* Be a strong--team player * Enhance a service driven culture across all teams that are in line with company strategies and goals.* Lead by example and establish a track record as a reliable, "go to" performer. * Develop strong business partnerships and credibility with colleagues and the industry. * Proactively offer new ideas and build support for making significant change.
